Book Review
Share your thoughts on a book that has deeply impacted you. In your review, provide an in-depth analysis of the book’s central themes, characters, and narrative structure. Reflect on how the book resonates with you personally—what lessons or emotions it evoked, and how it contributed to your understanding of the world or yourself. Your review should offer a balanced perspective, discussing both strengths and potential weaknesses of the work while making your personal viewpoint clear.
Movie Review
Dive into the world of cinema by reviewing a movie that has caught your attention. Evaluate the film’s plot, pacing, and storytelling, as well as its cinematography, direction, and visual appeal. Discuss the performances of the actors—how their portrayal of the characters adds depth to the story. Don’t forget to touch on the movie’s overall impact, including its themes and any emotional or intellectual reactions it provoked in you. Conclude with your honest critique and whether you would recommend the film to others.
Poster Design
Unleash your creativity through visual storytelling. Design a captivating poster that represents a literary work, character, or theme. Focus on capturing the essence of the subject matter by utilizing colors, typography, and imagery that convey the story’s core message or mood. Your design should be not only visually striking but also reflect a deep understanding of the text or character it represents, creating an artwork that engages viewers and draws them into the world you’ve depicted.
Photography
Capture the beauty of language and literature through photography. Submit an image that creatively represents the essence of a literary work, an iconic moment, or the power of words themselves. Experiment with composition, lighting, and symbolism to visually interpret a text’s themes or characters. The photograph should tell a story on its own, evoking emotions or thoughts linked to the literary work, and it should stand as a testament to the artistic fusion of language and visual art.
Short Literature Writing (Bangla)
Express your thoughts in a brief Bangla literary piece. Craft a compelling story, essay, or poetic piece that reflects your unique voice and understanding of the language. The writing should be engaging, whether it delves into personal reflection, societal commentary, or imaginative storytelling. Pay attention to the nuances of Bangla expression, playing with rhythm, cultural references, and literary devices to create an impactful and resonant piece that speaks to your readers.
Short Literature Writing (English)
Showcase your talent in English writing by crafting a concise yet impactful short story, essay, or narrative piece. Use vivid descriptions, engaging dialogue, and a strong narrative structure to draw readers into your world. Whether it’s a thought-provoking reflection, a slice-of-life story, or a piece that pushes the boundaries of imagination, aim to capture the essence of human experience and emotion, leaving readers with something to think about long after they’ve finished reading.
Extempore Speech (Bangla)
Speak on an impromptu topic in Bangla, demonstrating your quick thinking, eloquence, and ability to connect with the audience through words. You will be judged on your ability to articulate your thoughts clearly and confidently, structure your speech on the fly, and engage your listeners with your unique perspective. The topic could be anything from social issues to personal reflections or current events, so be prepared to speak with conviction, creativity, and fluency.
Extempore Speech (English)
Deliver an extemporaneous speech in English, showcasing your oratory skills and ability to speak effectively on a given topic without preparation. The challenge lies in how you organize your thoughts quickly and present them in a clear, engaging manner. Whether the subject is political, philosophical, or light-hearted, your speech should capture the audience’s attention, offering insight, humor, or reflection in a concise and persuasive manner. Confidence, articulation, and poise are key components in this type of speech.
Literature Review (Bangla)
Analyze and critique a Bangla literary work, discussing its themes, style, and impact on readers. Your review should go beyond surface-level observations and delve into the deeper meanings and cultural significance of the work. Consider how the author’s use of language, narrative structure, and character development contribute to the overall experience. Reflect on the work’s historical and social context, and provide an informed perspective on its relevance and influence in both the literary world and society at large.
Literature Review (English)
Provide an insightful review of an English literary piece, focusing on its narrative techniques, themes, and significance within the broader literary canon. Evaluate the author’s approach to storytelling, character development, and the impact the work has had on literature or culture. Reflect on the ways in which the text addresses human nature, societal issues, or universal truths. Your review should present a balanced critique while offering a deep understanding of the work’s artistic and intellectual merit.
Poem Recitation
Bring a poem to life by reciting it with passion, clarity, and emotional depth. Select a poem that resonates with you, and use your voice to convey its rhythm, meaning, and underlying emotions. Focus on enunciation, tone, and pacing to capture the essence of the poem, allowing the audience to experience its beauty and message through your performance. Whether the poem is light and playful or deeply somber, your recitation should draw out its full emotional and lyrical power.
Poem Translation
Translate a poem from one language to another, preserving its essence and meaning while staying true to the original tone and rhythm. Focus on conveying the emotional depth, imagery, and cultural nuances of the poem in your translation. The challenge lies not only in finding the right words but in ensuring the poem’s spirit remains intact. This task requires both linguistic skills and an understanding of the poem’s deeper layers to create a translation that speaks to readers in the new language just as it does in the original.
Linguistic Artwork
Create a piece of artwork that explores the beauty of language and its visual representation. Combine text and image to craft a unique piece that showcases the interaction between written language and visual art. Whether through calligraphy, typography, or abstract representation, your artwork should reflect the aesthetic value of words and their power to evoke emotion or convey meaning. The piece should encourage viewers to think about language in a new, creative way, merging visual elements with the written word.
Digital Art
Use digital tools to bring the essence of the subject to life, whether through realistic, stylized, or abstract interpretation. Focus on capturing the personality, emotions, and key traits of the figure or character, ensuring that the portrait conveys something deeper about their identity. Your artwork should highlight your ability to work with digital mediums to express literary themes visually, creating a striking and thoughtful portrait.
Short Film (Team Event)
Collaborate with teammates to produce a short film that brings a literary theme, story, or character to life. From scriptwriting to acting and cinematography, every aspect of the production process will require teamwork and creativity. Whether adapting a classic literary work, creating a new interpretation of a character, or exploring a theme from literature, the short film should effectively communicate the core message through visual storytelling. Your collective efforts will showcase not only your creative abilities but your ability to collaborate and bring a literary idea to life on screen.
